Experience Makes The Difference
“I know the system inside and
out, and I'll put my experience to work for you.
Deportation Defense is all I do.”
— Attorney
Andrew J. Fishkin
From Immigration Officer to
Immigration Defense Attorney
Now an Immigration Defense Attorney specializing in Deportation/Removal Defense, Andrew Fishkin was an agent of INS (Immigration and Naturalization) and ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) for ten years.
Why the change?
Here's the story. Andrew Fishkin was in charge of detaining
human smugglers (Coyotes). On one occasion, he and his team had surrounded an
apartment where the human traffickers had hidden a large group of
undocumented immigrants. They had control of the situation and began to move the immigrants, who were cramped in the small room, onto a truck.
However, there was one individual in the corner who wouldn't move. Agent Andrew Fishkin addressed the man in Spanish,
“Stand up.” The
man only smiled, and when Agent Fishkin tried to physically move him, the man screamed in pain. Then, one of man's companions
told the agent,
“The Coyote broke his knees with a bat in front of everyone to see what would happen if they tried to flee.”
Attorney Andrew Fishkin says, “That really got to me. Right then, I realized I was on the wrong side
of law.” So he left the department, enrolled in law school,
graduated, passed the state bar exam, and began to defend
undocumented immigrants. Today, Andrew Fishkin is part of United States Army Reserve,
actively helps the community, makes donations to local organizations, is a member of The Rotary Club, and says, “Whatever I give, I do so from the heart.” That's Attorney Andrew Fishkin, Immigration Defense Attorney specializing in Deportation/Removal Defense.
