Sucess Stories:

The Law Office of Andrew J. Fishkin has extensive experience in both deportation and criminal defense. Here are just a couple of our success stories.

Mr. L is an immigrant from Honduras and served 146 days out of a 365-day sentence for Attempted Robbery. Because of that 365-day sentence, Mr. L on completing his time in jail was not released to serve his probation, but was transferred directly to immigration custody, where the law mandated deportation without any possible relief. Attorney Fishkin went back to criminal court on Mr. L's behalf and had that sentence reduced retroactively to 360-days, resulting in Mr. L's immediate release from immigration custody and the dropping of the government's deportation charge against him.

Ms. A was born in Iran but renounced her Iranian citizenship and moved to Armenia in the 1970s. She later immigrated to the United States in the 1980s. In 2003, Ms. A was convicted of a theft greater than $10,000, an aggravated felony that triggers mandatory deportation, which was ordered in 2005. Ms. A is still living and working legally in the United States thanks to Attorney Fishkin, and absent a restoration of the Soviet Union, she will continue to live and work legally in this country.
